Bacon Candy from Third Wave Cafe

OH MY GOD, you’ve never tried Bacon Candy like this. Actually, have you ever tried Bacon Candy? This treat should come with a warning, it can be seriously addictive. It is the PERFECT combination of Salt, Sugar and Fat to create a delicious blend of sweet bacony goodness.

Lets now break it down, what makes Bacon Candy so great:

First we get streaky bacon. Brushed with maple syrup to create a delicious maple flavoured treat it is then drizzled with brown sugar and chilli. Slow cooked then to perfection to give it a consistency like jerky, this treat comes as a side in our HUMUNGOUS BBQ platters and as a delicious side by itself.

Think of a delicious combination between bacon, maple syrup and chilli and you’ve got Bacon Candy.

Originally as a special on its own, the treat became it’s own dish due to popular demand.

You can find the Bacon Candy in the BBQ Platters, click here to read more about them.

The first time you try this bacony treat you’ll taste the deliciously sweet flavours. Paired with a little bit of chilli as it is cooked, it has a slight spicy taste to it. Bacon Candy is often a BIG hit with the kids as well as adults with a little bit of a sweet tooth. In the BBQ platters they are a perfectly paired with the chicken wings, as well as cornbread and make a great starter on their own. Our staff are personally addicted to it so we recommend ordering it before they snap it up!
